Library News & Events

FEBRUARY

Club 56- Girls, we will be leaving right after school from the library on February 10 to go to Aspen Heights to play games with the residents and share some love this month. Parents, if you haven’t signed your waiver form, please do so soon and turn it into the library. Any questions, please ask!

Valentine’s Story Hour! Choose between Monday, February 10 from 6:30pm-7:15pm OR Tuesday, February 11 at 9:30am-10:15am at the library. All kids 3-6 years old are welcome. If you know of someone new in town that have young children, please share this information with them! Please sign up in the library.

Boyden Book Club. The Book Club is reading Sworn to Silence by Linda Castillo this month. The monthly book discussion will be held on February 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Library. Please let the Library know if you need a copy of the book. New members are always welcome!

Movie Day for the kids….Wednesday, February 19 at 2:45 we will be showing a movie. Popcorn will be provided. We recommend you sending a water bottle with a lid along with your kids.

 

Did you know that the Library has a number of services to help our community members of all ages?
      If you have a vision or physical disability you might benefit from:
      -Large Print books
      -Audio books
      -Online access for e-books

 

Do we have your correct addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses on file? Don’t be surprised if we check with you while you check out at the library. Feel free to contact us with your current contact information!

***Do you sometimes forget when the next book club is, or when the next story time is? We are hoping this awesome new offering at the library will help you stay connected. We, at the Boyden Public Library, are now signed up with Remind. This program will send you texts reminding you of upcoming events at the library. We have info at the library on how to sign up for it or follow these directions. Please ask if you have any questions!

 What is BRIDGES: Iowa's e-Library?   

This is a new E-book and Audiobook Consortium for Iowa Libraries to provide you with over 16,500 e-books and 7,500 audiobooks.  You can download the e-books with your library card number. This Bridges Site is also has the name OVERDRIVE in the app stores.
