Library Hours

Tuesday  1:00p-5:30p

Wednesday 1:00-5:30 (Effective Sept. 9, we will be open until 7p)

Thursday 1:00p-5:30p

Friday  10:00a-4:00p

Effective Sept. 12, we will be open on Saturdays from  9:00a-12:00p.

We are continuing our curbside pick up if this is preferable to you. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this uncharted time for us.


                  

Library Guidelines for Reopening-Phase 2

-If you are ill or have any symptoms of illness, do not enter the library.

-1:00-2:00 each Tuesday will be for those over 55 or those with underlying health issues.

-Number of people allowed in the library at any time is 10.

-Patrons should limit their time in the library to 15 minutes.

-Computer usage is reduced to 15 minutes per day.

-Curbside delivery will continue for those who feel more comfortable with this.

-Social distance yourself in the library.

-Please continue to return your materials to the drop box.

-Please be aware our restrooms and drinking fountains remain closed.

-Sanitize your hands before entering the library.



 

Library News & Events

Chicken Story Time- Did you know that September is National Chicken Month? All 3-6 year old are invited to come to a special story time. Choose between Monday, September 14 at 6:30pm OR Tuesday, September 15 at 9:30am. We are going to have so much fun!! Please let us know if your child will be attending so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

The Boyden Book Club is reading “Wesley the Owl” this month. The Book Club meets at 7:00pm in the library on Monday, September 21.

September is Library Card Sign-up Month. If you haven’t visited the Boyden library, please do so! We offer a variety of old and new materials and provide a beautiful space to spend time. We offer programming for all ages! Please encourage your friends to “check out” our library! Everyone is welcome at the library!

Fall Story Time will begin on Tuesday, October 6 for 3 consecutive dates. More details to follow!

***Do you sometimes forget when the next book club is, or when the next story time is? We are hoping this awesome new offering at the library will help you stay connected. We, at the Boyden Public Library, are now signed up with Remind. This program will send you texts reminding you of upcoming events at the library. We have info at the library on how to sign up for it or follow these directions. Please ask if you have any questions!

***Reminder to parents....please be familiar with our library hours and make sure that when it is closing time your child has been picked up. Thank you for your consideration.

 What is BRIDGES: Iowa's e-Library?   

This is a new E-book and Audiobook Consortium for Iowa Libraries to provide you with over 16,500 e-books and 7,500 audiobooks.  You can download the e-books with your library card number. This Bridges Site is also has the name OVERDRIVE in the app stores.
